September’s $10.00 picnic-style luncheon will be held outside near the Worship Center and will feature cool old cars from the Horseless Carriage group of Salinas! We'll have a speaker share the history of the cars, we'll be able to enjoy looking at the cars, and ride in at least one around the SVCC parking lot if you want to! And to top it all off, we'll enjoy some root beer floats with the root beer coming out of the 'radiator' of one of the old cars! Come and join us! This will be a very fun time!!! New evening Bible study will be starting on Wednesday Aug 28th, 6:30-8pm in the Fireside Room upstairs in the church office.  We will be doing an 11-week study on Ephesians through Right Now Media written by Michael DeFazio.  There is no fee to attend and no book needs to be purchased.  Please sign up in the lobby or you can contact Cynthia Howe at 831-430-6108.  

We'll meet at The Farm on Highway 68 at 10:00 am to pick and pay for our flowers. Afterwards, we will meet at Cathy Haas' home to arrange them in our vases that we've brought. We'll then have the opportunity to share the flowers with folks that can benefit from receiving them!

PT Cruisers 50+ Ministry - The next luncheon will be on Sunday, August 15 in the Annex after the service. Brian and Marlo Schalesky will share with the group about Wonder Wood Ranch that they started and run on a daily basis. The Ranch uses equine therapy to provide hope and healing to trauma-impacted youth in Monterey County.

Join us for a special Installation Service for Mike Solorio as he transitions into the Lead Pastor role at SVCC. This will be an evening of prayer, worship, and celebration.

Join us after the service for an appetizer reception. We will provide the meat, cheese, crackers, and bread. Please bring nuts, fruit, olives, chocolate, or anything appropriate for a charcuterie board.

Pastor Mark will be the speaker for our Men’s Breakfast on August 3rd.  This will be an opportunity for him to say goodbye to the city of Salinas and all the pastors whose lives Mark has spoken into over the past 22 years.  Breakfast will be served by 7:00 AM, Mark will speak at 8:00 AM and a few local dignitaries will be done speaking by 9:00 AM.  A donation will be accepted during the meal.
