Psalm 23: The Good Shepherd
The LORD (Yahweh/I AM).
Is (Not just was or will be)
My (Our AND My)
Shepherd Powerful ruler and Caring provider
I shall not want=I have everything I truly need.

Yahweh, the LORD, takes the initiative in our relationship.
· The powerful ruler
· The caring provider
He makes the environment conducive to us resting.
He meets our needs so that we can relax.
The mighty LORD is focused on you.
Four things that prevent sheep from lying down:
· Fear-- Fear of your spiritual enemy or another person?
· Friction-- Friction with someone?
· Flies-- Flies of life irritating and annoying you?
· Famine-- Fear of your material needs not being met?
What is your most dominant stress right now [fear (emotional), friction (relational), flies (circumstantial) or famine (material)]? How can you consciously let go of the most dominant stress (to relax with your shepherd?
In green pastures/grassy meadows/green fields
He leads me
Beside still waters/quiet waters/peaceful water/quiet pools
Jesus is the Good Shepherd
